The gums and oral cavity are always changing. Dentures are made from rigid material, and the fitting surface does not change. Therefore sore spots, or irritations may be experienced from time to time, whether it be months or years after the dentures were fitted. This often means that the gums have changed. An appointment is needed to have the dentures checked, and if need be, adjusted.
